Scope of Practice:

I draw from several treatment modalities that have evidence to support their effectiveness including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Integrated Behavioral Couple Therapy. Additionally, I have specialty training in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.

Values and Philosophy:

I believe in the importance of providing a therapeutic environment that is safe, supportive and non-judgmental. As a therapist, I am actively involved helping clients explore issues to gain new understanding, identify strengths, and learn coping skills. Additionally, I work to be genuine, accepting and empathic because my experience has been clients are better able to make healthy changes when these factors are present. I am comfortable working with a range of clinical issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, relationship difficulties and addiction. I am experienced working with diverse ethnic, racial, and socio-economic client populations.

Techniques and Methodology:

Therapy has the potential to be a healing and empowering experience leading to great personal growth. To help foster that process, I believe in tailoring therapy to meet a client's needs and working together to address and resolve the issues that brought you to therapy.
