Values and Philosophy

You are amazing. I want to help you remember that - or realize it for the first time! The most important aspect to any therapy is the relationship between client and counselor. I aim to create a collaborative, supportive, and positive space in which clients can discover their own strength and worth. I will challenge you to think outside of your standard boxes, but will do so in a way that honors the work and thought you have already put into any given situation.

Therapeutic Technique and Methodology

The most valuable thing I can offer is a safe, collaborative, judgment-free environment to explore the parts your life that aren't working the way you would like. I will make observations, point out patterns and inconsistencies, and challenge your assumptions about yourself. I will not judge, pigeonhole you into rigid diagnostic boxes, or assume that I know what is better for you than you do. It is you who is on the journey - I can guide you into the maze, and equip you with tools, but you must face whatever awaits you at the maze's center on your own. You will do so, though, knowing that I'll be there to safely guide you out again.
